Woods and Workmanship
The solid elements of the Heritage J.S. collection (such as
frames and mouldings) are made from red alder (Alnus
rubra), Fronts, side sections, visible back walls, and panels
are veneered with variegated cherry (planked). The veneer
strips are assembled in a “variegated” pattern in the veneer
formation. In so doing, the handcrafted production method
and the solid character are especially emphasised. In so

The designer of Heritage J.S. collection has placed particular
value upon the tension that is provided by the change in
the direction of the veneer between horizontal and vertical.
Bodies and cornice and base elements have a horizontal
veneer, as do the incorporated drawers. The fronts of the
doors and drawers in a wave form are veneered vertically.
The exceptions are the collector‘s china cabinet Mod. 7694
and the bookcase Mod. 8691 – in these cases, the lateral
surfaces of the bodies are veneered vertically.
HÖLZER
Holz und Verarbeitung
Die Massivteile der Collection Heritage J.S. (Rahmen und
Profilleisten) sind aus Red Alder/Rot-Erle (Alnus rubra)
gefertigt. Fronten, Seitenteile, sichtbare Rückwände und
Platten sind in Kirschbaumholz bunt furniert (beplankt).
Die Furnierstreifen werden „bunt“ im Furnierbild
zusammengesetzt. Die handwerkliche Herstellungsweise
und der massive Charakter der Möbelstücke wird dadurch
besonders hervorgehoben.
Der Designer der Collection Heritage J.S. legt besonderen
Wert auf die Spannung, die durch den Wechsel der
Furnierrichtungen zwischen horizontalen und vertikalen
Elementen vermittelt wird. Korpusse, Kranz- und
Sockelelemente haben eine horizontale Furnierrichtung,
ebenso die darin eingearbeiteten Schubladen. Die Fronten
der Türen und Schubladen in Wellenform sind vertikal
furniert. Ausnahmen sind die Sammlervitrine Mod. 7694 und
das Bücherregal Mod. 8691; hier werden die Seitenflächen
der Korpusse vertikal furniert geliefert.
LEGNI
Legni e lavorazione
Le parti massicce della collezione Heritage J.S. (corpo
e profili) sono realizzate in red alder (Alnus Rubra). Le
gambe e le sponde dei cassetti sono in faggio. Le parti
impiallacciate (frontali, parti laterali, schienali e piani a vista)
sono in ciliegio dogato. “Impiallacciatura dogata” consiste
nel comporre i fogli di tranciato in maniera alternata a
diverse larghezze. Questa produzione artigianale trasmette
al mobile un carattere massiccio e fa risaltare la sapienza
costruttiva dei nostri artigiani.
Per dare maggiore enfasi alla collezione Heritage J.S. il
designer, ha utilizzato il tranciato mescolando il senso della
venatura in maniera diversificata (verticale – orizzontale). Per
corpo, cimasa, top e basi (con cassetti inseriti), il designer
utilizza l’impiallacciatura disposta in senso orizzontale. Il
fronte ondulato delle ante e dei cassetti viene impiallacciato
in senso verticale. Fanno eccezione la vetrina Mod. 7694 e
la libreria Mod. 8691 che utilizzano sul fianco centrale del
corpo l’impiallacciatura in senso verticale.
