Erstklassige Hölzer und Materialien sowie sorgfältige
Verarbeitung bürgen für die Einzigartigkeit unserer Möbel.
Wir arbeiten nach den Vorbildern des traditionellen
Kunsthandwerks. Bei Selva wird handwerkliches Können seit
jeher großgeschrieben, auch bei der Abstimmung kleinster
Details.
Für die furnierten Flächen wie Fronten, Seitenteile,
Rückwände, Abdeckplatten und Einlegeböden verwenden
wir je nach Ausführung, Kirschbaum, Nussbaum, Tanganica,
Pappelschichtholz (Furniersperrholz Pappel) usw. Einzelheiten
entnehmen Sie den Modellbeschreibungen.
Unsere Wurzelfurniere stammen von Nussbaum, Myrte,
Esche, Olivenbaum, Kastanie, Ulme, Ahorn Pappel usw.
Furnierte Flächen werden je nach Ausführung auf
Trägermaterialien wie Spanplatten, Sperrholzplatten oder
Tischlerplatten (Stabsperrholz) gearbeitet.
Kranzprofile, Rahmen, Sockel, Profilleisten und Gestelle
werden aus Massivholz gefertigt. Wir verwenden dafür u.a.
Red Alder (Amerikanisch Rot-Erle), Buche, Linde, Pappel und
Amerikanisch Tulipier (Tulpenbaum).
Holz ist ein Naturprodukt
Astansätze, leichte Risse, Farbnuancen und unregelmäßiger
Maserungsverlauf sind warentypische Eigenschaften
von natürlich gewachsenem Holz. Vor der Verarbeitung
werden alle Hölzer dem Klima, dem sie an ihrer späteren
Verwendungsstelle voraussichtlich ausgesetzt sind,
angepasst.
Die Kollektionen von Philipp Selva Home werden in einer
besonderen Art der Furniertechnik hergestellt, sie werden
bunt furniert (beplankt). Die Furnierstreifen werden „bunt“
im Furnierbild zusammengesetzt. Der handwerkliche und
massive Charakter der Möbelstücke wird dadurch besonders
hervorgehoben (siehe Detailbeschreibung der einzelnen
Kollektionen).

Legni e materiali di primissima qualità e un‘accurata
lavorazione garantiscono l‘unicità dei nostri mobili.
Lavoriamo ad arte secondo i dettami della tradizione
ebanistica. Da sempre Selva dà grande importanza all‘abilità
artigianale, anche quando si tratta di realizzare i più piccoli
dettagli.
Per le parti impiallacciate come frontali, fianchi, schienali,
ripiani e piani impieghiamo, a seconda dei modelli, tranciati
di ciliegio, noce, tanganica, precomposto di pioppo (pioppo
multilaminare), ecc. Si vedano maggiori dettagli nelle
descrizioni dei singoli modelli.
Le radiche usate possono essere noce, mirto, frassino, olivo,
castagno, olmo, acero, pioppo, ecc.
Le parti impiallacciate vengono lavorate, a seconda dei
modelli, su pannelli strutturali in truciolare, in multistrato,
o in legno listellare.
Cappello, cornici, zoccolo, profili e telaio vengono realizzati
in legno massello. Per queste parti utilizziamo solitamente
red alder, faggio, tiglio, pioppo e tulipier americano.
Il legno è un prodotto vivo
Di conseguenza venature irregolari, piccoli avvallamenti,
piccole crepe, nodi e differenze di colore sono la migliore
prova della genuinità e della naturalezza del legno
impiegato. Già in prima lavorazione il massello utilizzato per
i nostri mobili viene preparato per sopportare la situazione
climatica a cui sarà esposto nella probabile destinazione
finale.
In ogni collezione Philipp Selva Home viene utilizzata una
tecnica di impiallacciatura denominata ”Impiallacciatura
dogata“ che consiste nel comporre i fogli di impiallaccio in
maniera alternata a diverse larghezze. Questa produzione
artigianale trasmette al mobile un carattere massiccio e
fa risaltare la sapienza costruttiva dei nostri artigiani (vedi
maggiori dettagli nella descrizione delle singole collezioni).

First-class woods and materials as well as careful
craftsmanship vouch for the uniqueness of our furniture.
We work according to traditional models of the most
exquisitely artistic handicraft. At Selva, great stress has
always been placed upon handicraft ability – including
making the smallest details match. For the veneered
sections, such as fronts, side sections, back walls, panels
and shelves, we use cherry, walnut, tanganica and multi-ply
poplar (laminated poplar), among others, depending upon
the model.
We craft root veneers from walnut, myrtle, ash, olive wood,
chestnut, elm, maple, poplar, and others.
Veneered surfaces are applied to base materials such as
particleboards, multi-ply boards, or blockboards, depending
upon the model.
Cornice profiles, body frames, bases, mouldings, and seat
frames are made from solid wood. Among the woods we
use for these are red alder, maple, beech, linden, poplar,
and American tulipwood (from the tulip tree).
Wood is a natural product
Knots, minor fissures, nuances in colour, and irregular grain
structure are all typical characteristics of naturally grown
woods. Even before being worked, the woods are adapted
to the climate to which they will probably be exposed in the
area of their later use.
The collections of Philipp Selva Home are produced using
a very special type of veneering technique: they are
plank-veneered. The veneer strips are assembled in a
variagated pattern in the veneer formation. In so doing,
the handcrafted production method and the solid character
of the pieces of furniture are especially emphasised (see
detailed description of the single collection).
